Kent Miller

I am a manufacturing and product development professional with a background in advanced machining, prototyping, and applied engineering principles, and I currently manage the Beta in Bentonville prototyping lab at the University of Arkansas. My work sits at the intersection of design and manufacturing, helping teams move from early concepts to functional, manufacturable products. I bring hands-on experience with CAD/CAM, subtractive and additive manufacturing, along with a practical focus on design for manufacturability, cost-aware process selection, and iterative development. Over the years, I’ve built and operated prototyping facilities, led equipment integration and lab expansions, and trained engineers and technicians to work safely and effectively with advanced manufacturing tools. I enjoy partnering with founders, product teams, and manufacturers to shorten development cycles, avoid common manufacturing pitfalls, and create hardware that’s ready to scale beyond the prototype stage.
